Flax then and now ...
The ideas about linen that we have are completely different from reality. The linen that we know today is not a rough or unpleasant to the touch fabric. Quite the opposite, this fabric, which I call the queen of all materials, is very soft, pleasant to the touch and above all does not irritate.
Often, when wearing and using fabrics, we are also afraid that they will pill and deteriorate quickly. Which is of course not true - linen does not pill and subsequent washing makes it even more noble and soft. It is also one of the most durable materials.
It's true that linen is an expensive fabric, but thanks to all these wonderful properties it will serve us for many years.
Scientists prove that sleeping in linen bedding or nightwear made of linen fabric has a great effect on the quality of sleep. It perfectly regenerates our body and mind.
We fall asleep quickly, sleep deeply, and wake up refreshed and rested.
FLAX PROPERTIES
Linen is a material that makes us sweat less, which results in less growth of bacteria and fungi - it is antibacterial and antiallergic.
It does not allow harmful UV radiation to pass through. Of all the fibers known to us, it is the canvas woven from it that creates the best microclimate for the skin.
Linen has the highest absorbency of all natural fibers, it absorbs up to 25% of water without giving the impression of wet clothing, which is why it is an excellent material for summer because when it dries, it takes heat away from the body - it provides coolness and a pleasant feeling. Linen is extremely breathable - it removes carbon dioxide from the skin, bringing fresh air to the body, it does not electrify. It reduces the ability to accumulate charges on the body - important for those who operate computers or electrical devices. It also has bacteriostatic properties - it was once used for sterilization, as well as bandaging wounds and for cheese-making purposes. Linen never causes allergies - it is naturally clean. It does not cause irritations or allergies.
DISTINCTIVE FEATURE
Linen creases, but creases beautifully. It has to look like this – this is its feature, which often allows us to recognize that a given person is dressed in linen. There is a saying “Linen creases, but it creases expensively”. Linen fabric likes to be close to the body, it is its true friend. Created for functioning in the countryside, it feels great in salons. A house dressed in linen looks as elegant, noble as a model in an Armani suit. Because this natural fabric is used by the best companies and designers – Rubelli, Pierre Frey, Colefax & Fowler, Ralph Lauren, Valentino. People who wear linen are said to have character and know what is good.
